Narcissus pseudonarcissus obvallaris is the archetypal trumpet Daffodil. This Daffodil is just plain old-fashioned yellow, and for that very reason a surprising occurrence! Narcissus pseudonarcissus obvallaris is one of the oldest stinzenplants: the gentry used to order barrows full of Narcissus obvallaris for their gardens. They were dug up from the wild and replanted in the parks of manor houses. Of course these days the bulbs originate from Dutch nurseries.

Narcissus obvallaris is native to south Wales.
