Wood anemone ‘Bracteata’ is also known as Bracteata Plena or Bracteata Pleniflora. The shape and colour of the flowers of Anemone nemorosa 'Bracteata' are different to those of the species; the petals underneath are longer, and the whole flower is a mix of green and white.

This cultivar multiplies by producing rhizomes and doesn’t set seed. This doesn't hamper its ability to naturalise at all; Anemone nemorosa 'Bracteata' naturalises well. Anemone nemorosa 'Bracteata' is, like other Wood anemones, an ideal plant for under deciduous trees and shrubs.

The loose rhizomes of Anemone nemorosa are prone to drying out: we therefore pack them in a perforated bag with soil. Please plant them as quickly as possible. However, if neccessary they can be stored for a short while in the fridge (frost free!).
