Summer snowflake is a strong bulb, suitable for very wet places such as by a pond.
At De Warande, in our garden, we have sandy soil but with regular sprinkling these bulbs do return year after year; in our case extra watering is paramount. In a moisture-retaining, loamy or clayey soil summer snowflake is in its natural element and will thrive.

Native to the floodplains of central Europe, where it can even grow amongst thick reed.
