Galanthus nivalis 'Viridapice' is an old cultivar, discovered around 1900 by J.C.M. Hoog (from Tubergen, NL) at a farmstead in Noord-Holland, a province in the Netherlands.

Every few years a clump can be lifted and divided, creating a carpet of Snowdrops in no time at all.
