Uvularia grandiflora, commonly known as Bellwort, is a not so very well-known shade-loving plant. For a number of years Uvularia grandiflora has made itself at home in our woodland garden. The attractive bell-like flowers appear in April-May, and their beauty is hard to resist!

Bellwort prefers a humus-rich soil. The different species of Uvularia get mixed up sometimes; this species is the medium-tall sort with the soft yellow flowers.
